| If you are thinking of planning a beach vacation consider planning a Maine beach vacation. That's right, a Maine beach vacation! Maine is not typically the first place that comes to mind when you think about planning a beach vacation, but Maine beaches are some of the most beautiful we've seen. And we've visited almost every Maine beach there is. Initially, our Maine vacation plans were not centered around visits to Maine beaches. But after we visited a couple we fell in love and that is why we have since planned so many Maine beach vacations. First, Maine beaches are located in some of the most fantastic settings on the east coast. The rocky coast of Maine makes the meeting of land and sea a sight to behold. A Maine beach vacation, to us, is so relaxing because of the mild Maine climate. Beaches elsewhere are sweltering in the summer. But our Maine beach vacations have been so enjoyable primarily because the climate of Maine beaches is so mild. We are not big ocean swimmers so the cold Atlantic waters offered by Maine beaches are not a bad thing to us. We actually prefer Maine beach vacations over other beach vacations because in the heat of the summer we can quickly cool ourselves off by just dipping our feet in the Atlantic.
