Nubble Light House was the first light house we visited in Maine. It was the first planned stop of our New England travel
itinerary. Having never planned a New England vacation before, this light house was highly recommended by all the New
England travel books we read. The scene here is fabulous. At Christmas time, the light house is decorated for the
season, photographs of which are included in every New England travel publication imaginable – and for very good
reason. In the future, we plan to schedule a New England vacation during Christmas so we can see the scene for
ourselves. During our summer visit, the light house was visible from miles away as we drove on our way to the point. To
us, this light house visit officially started our New England vacation.
