taken as we approached the breakwater from the parking area. There is a park bench
where you can sit and take in the view of the long granite breakwater extending to the
lighthouse. On any Maine summer day, there are people enjoying the cool walk to the
lighthouse. The fresh ocean air sweeps over the breakwater, so depending on the
temperature a light jacket is advised. We love this fine Maine lighthouse. From the
lighthouse, you can watch boats cruise by in and out of Rockland harbor. And with your
back to the lighthouse the view of the Camden hills just up the Maine coast is beautiful. And
across the water is the boldly set Owl's Head lighthouse. If you vacation in Maine be sure to
