lighthouse. From this vantage point it seemed we could reach out and touch the boats
sailing by on their sunset cruise. We greeted several people on those boats as they sailed
by the lighthouse, as if they were just walking by. Many folks, from Maine and "from
away", came out to enjoy the sunset. The sunset cast a beautiful array of colors on the
ocean waters and lighthouse. The calm ocean water, the sailboats cruising by, the birds
soaring above, and the fresh Maine ocean air all served to bring this wonderful day to a
relaxing end. Days like this help you understand why Maine's beautiful summer days are
legendary.
