| This digital photo of West Quoddy Head Light House was taken from the rocks below, which can be reached via a trail that wanders along this dramatic section of the Maine coast. The tip of the candy-striped light house can be seen, as well as the United States flag and the flag of the state of Maine. The cliff trail is well worth the walk and is relatively easy to stroll. There are numerous places to stop and sit and enjoy the dramatic Maine coast and wildlife. Many visitors to this Maine destination are fortunate enough to see whales and seals in the Bay of Fundy. And the huge cliffs along the coastline will leave you wondering if the light house or the cliffs are the Maine attraction (ha!). |
